About Dr. Shahbahrami
Dr. Kevin Shahbahrami is a native of New Jersey, having grown up in Monmouth County and completing his undergraduate education at Rutgers University. He received his medical doctorate from Rutgers University as well, followed by completing the general surgery program at Morristown Medical Center and cardiothoracic training at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
During this time, Dr. Shahbahrami developed an interest in heart failure and transplantation. He subsequently completed his studies at the Cleveland Clinic as an advanced heart failure clinical associate with a focus in heart transplantation, lung transplantation, mechanical circulatory support, including ECMO and LVAD implantation, pulmonary thromboendarterectomy, and arrhythmia surgery.
Dr. Shahbahrami performs all aspects of adult cardiac surgery but is particularly proficient in high risk cardiac operations and heart failure procedures.
When not working, Dr. Shahbahrami spends his free time with his wife and children, enjoying the New Jersey Coast.
