About Dr. Badami
Dr. Badami is a true New Jersey native, born in Hoboken and spending most of his life in the Garden State, growing up right here in Monmouth County. He attended Rutgers University, New Brunswick as an undergraduate. Continued with his Jersey training at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark to obtain his medical degree. He stayed in Newark for his Surgical Residency at University Hospital, part of the Rutgers Health System. He then completed his Cardiothoracic Fellowship at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. He is double board certified in both General Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery.
Dr. Badami has been in practice for over 15 years. He has practiced as a cardiac surgeon in Philadelphia, Northern New Jersey and prior to joining Mid-Atlantic Surgical Associates, was in New York for the past 8 years. He joined MASA in June 2024.
Dr. Badami performs all aspects of Adult Cardiac Surgery. He has a special interest in multiple arterial grafting for coronary disease. He also specializes in valvular heart disease, aneurysms, arrhythmia surgery and heart failure, as well as TAVR and other endoscopic therapies. Dr. Badami’s philosophy is to make every decision in the best interest of the patient. Over his years of practice has had some of the best outcomes in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.
In his free time, he enjoys spending it with his wife and two kids, either traveling or attending their sporting events. He also enjoys playing softball and is an avid sport fan.
